The incident predominantly affected the planet’s 4 star continent, with minor bugs impacting the northern bound of Medicora and the southern cape of Superiora. Sources planetside told me that a routine patch to the atmosphere script went live with a typo, causing a conflict in one of the central directories that effectively turned the entire region off. At present this incident is being treated as an act of stupidity rather than one of deliberate sabotage.
One of the areas most affected was Wonder Park, the theme park city in the continent’s midlands. For several hours, the entire park was suspended in disbelief, a phenomenon that the region’s president is purportedly looking to establish as a permanent feature.
One visitor I spoke to didn’t seem to notice anything untoward had happened:
‘We were right at the top of the highest bit of the Marmalizer — which Fred really didn’t want to go on, by the way — and it was already really tense, but then we just kept going and going and going and when we looked down we realised the track had disappeared and we were just shooting through, I don’t know what really but it definitely wasn’t anything like we’d ever seen before! You should see the look on Fred’s face though from the pic it snapped of us once the ride finished though, it’s definitely going on a keyring!’
